A Reunited Love Conclusion

As Courtney and Duncan walk into the house notices how really neat and tidy the place is she looks at the wall to her left to find a family portrait of Duncan, his brother, and his parents. As they put there shoes away Duncan yells, “Hey I’m home!!” as he walks into one specific room. As the two enter that room Courtney is a little confused as to why the floor and a majority of the walls are covered in padding Duncan stops Courtney from entering and says, “You might want to stay back this could a little rough Dad is slightly psychotic.” Courtney still confused doesn’t understand until she suddenly hears someone yell, “WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN BOY!?!?!” Out of nowhere Duncan’s dad pops out of nowhere and prepares to throw a side to his son’s face. Courtney completely scared at what’s going on suddenly has a hand on her shoulder finding that it’s Duncan’s mom who says, “Don’t worry this is just how his father greets him and trains him to stay in shape.” As Duncan pushes the kick away he grabs his father by the arm and throws him into the wall, “I’ve been gone for a few weeks dad and you’ve gotten sloppy.” His dad laughs and says, “You got me there. Looks like I lose again.” Duncan just rolls his eyes at the stupidity of how he’s been having to through this for the past five years of his life every single day of his life. Courtney relieved nobody was hurt says, “This is certainly an interesting home you have Duncan I didn’t expect this at all.” Courtney looks at Duncan’s dad and says, “Well now I know where you get your good looks from.” She laughs along with both of Duncan’s parents while Duncan’s face turns completely red with embarrassment again.

As things settle down Duncan and Courtney head upstairs to Duncan’s room to unpack all his stuff, “You have a pretty dysfunctional family Duncan your dad is almost as crazy as you.” Duncan rolls his eyes and says, “Please don’t compare me to my old man.” Courtney laughs, “Alright Duncan sorry about that.” Duncan just smiles and says, “It’s alright.” They enter Duncan’s room, the walls are completely covered with various drawings that Duncan has drawn over the years some were even pictures of graffiti he’s spray painted on walls as Courtney walks in she sees that Duncan’s bed is completely messy and his dresser is covered in various wooden carving he’s made, “You are quite the artist Duncan some of this stuff is so amazing that a person could just lose themselves in something like this.” Duncan smiles as he throws his bag onto his bed and says, “Nah I’m just bored half the time and this just occupies that time.” Courtney sits on his bed and says, “Are you bored when you’re with me?” Duncan sits beside her and gives her a nuggie, “Of course not!! You make my life awesome!!!” She smiles and says, “Silly me.” They suddenly hear Duncan’s father yell, “Hey you two!!! Lunch will be ready at 1300 hours!!” “1300 hours?” Courtney says a little confused while Duncan smiles and says, “Its military time for one o’clock.” Courtney sticks her tongue out and says, “Today is just not my day huh?” Duncan laughs and says, “Its cool your still the same Courtney I’ll always like.” Courtney blushes and gives him a kiss on the cheek and Duncan starts blushing as well. After Duncan finishes unpacking Courtney asks, “Duncan I saw the family portrait I was wondering who the fourth person was in the picture.” Duncan says without looking, “That’s my older brother.” Courtney a little surprised says, “Oh really where is he? I didn’t see him around the house” Duncan nods and says, “He’s currently living in residence at a University for his final year of well you can easily guess what.” “Police Foundations.” She says with a sarcastic looking smile.

They look at the time and see that its already 12:55 so they decide to head downstairs early for lunch. They sit beside each other at the table while Duncan’s parents sit together across from them at the table they look at meal and see that they’re having Pasta for lunch. Courtney smiles and says, “The looks wonderful.” “Thank you there is seconds if you want some after that.” Duncan’s mom says with a smile. Courtney at amazement at how beautiful and kind Duncan’s mother is that she’s having a hard time believing that she’s both the mother of Duncan and a cop at that. Duncan’s dad says, “So how did the island treat you over there son?” Duncan looking like he’s about to inhale his food in one fell swoop, “Pretty much no different from Juevie except the food could’ve been better and it was all broadcasted on national television.” They all laugh over the joke he makes when Duncan’s mom asks Courtney, “So Courtney how is my son treating you?” Duncan chokes a bit on his food as his mom asks this question as Courtney sees this she helps Duncan out and says, “He’s treats me fine. In fact if I haven’t had met him I probably would still be as uptight as ever. He helped me learned how to loosen up.” Duncan smiles at fact that Courtney was actually so honest about how she felt about him and didn’t have to make up some sort of lie towards her feelings for him, “Now if he could only stop calling me Princess everything would be perfect.” Duncan laughs at it and puts his hand on top of Courtney and both of Duncan’s parents slime at each other and Duncan’s dad says, “Be careful about my son though he’s a total trouble maker.” They all laugh again.

After they finish lunch Courtney and Duncan decide to head back upstairs to Duncan’s room and talk a little more as they head inside Courtney looks out the window and notices that there’s a thunder storm going on outside, “Looks like you won’t be able to head home until it clears up huh?” Courtney leans next to Duncan and says, “I guess or I could just stay the night too you know?” Duncan smiles as he wraps his arms around Courtney and says, “I’d like that.” Courtney turns around give Duncan a kiss on the lips. Its 9pm and the rain still hasn’t let up Duncan still in his room are playing video games and Courtney is actually beating Duncan at his favorite shooter game, “Man how are you so good? I never thought of you as the video game type.” Courtney smiles as she headshots Duncan’s character says, “There a lot of things that you don’t know about me still and there are a lot of things I don’t know about you so its only natural.” Duncan smiles and says, “This is true I want to learn everything Courtney I want to get to know everything there is to know about you WHAT!?” he yells when it says Game Over. Courtney laughs and turns the system off and cuddles with Duncan and says, “I want to know everything about you as well.” Duncan pulls out another carving from bag and says, “Here I made this while I was on the boat on the way home. Courtney smiles as she looks at the carving of the heart he made and looks at the back to see the inscription that says Love like ours never ends “Its wonderful.” Duncan smiles and says, “Consider a mock-up of a pendant I want to buy for you.” Courtney laughs, “It doesn’t matter its still a wonderful gift either way.” As it starts getting late they start heading to sleep in the same manner they did at Courtney place last night with sleeping with his back against the wall and Courtney resting her head on his chest. Before they head to sleep Duncan says, “Well the first thing you should know about me is that there’s no girl I’d rather be with than you Courtney.” “I feel the same way about you Duncan. Goodnight Duncan” “Goodnight my angel.” He says as he kisses her on the forehead.
